Shon Gables is a News anchor and reporter for WFAA-TV ABC 8 based in Dallas. She has been active in the profession of broadcast journalism for more than 13 years. She made headlines in the news after she was given the arrest warrant from the judge for contempt of court on slander judgment. She currently hosts the business updates every Friday at 1:30 pm EST on 105.7 FM WHFS based in Baltimore.

Shon Gable was born on April 13, 1981, in the USA. She is of American nationality and belongs to the Afro-American ethnicity.

She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in economics. She also has served in the US Army Reserves for seven years.

Shon Gables' Career

Shon Gables started her career at KWCH-DT as a reporter and anchor for the station's public affairs program. Then she moved to Oklahoma City serving at KWTV-DT as an education reporter and news anchor from an a s sociate producer. Later she started working at WDIV-TV based in Detroit as a news anchor/general a s signment reporter.

She has also worked for WCBS-TV based in New York as a news anchor. She also had served CBS 2 News as a co-anchor for the program This Morning from 2003-2006. She had covered several hot news of the then times including the New York City Subway Centennial Celebration, the Summer Olympics bid, the Twin Towers Memorial, and the Blackout of 2003.

Shon Gables has freelanced as a news reporter for WPIX-TV from the NYC metro area. She became the weekend morning anchor for WFAA-TV Dallas in 2010. After a short stint at WFAA-TV, she faced the bench arrest warrant from Detroit court for the contempt of slander judgment.  The WFAA-TV cut ties with her in 2014.

Shon Gables is the Emmy award-nominated journalist. She received an Emmy nomination for On-Camera Achievement. She has received the National Association of Black Journalist awards and Lee Evans Outstanding Journalist Award. Shon was honored with the New York City Excellence in Media Award by the Harlem Chamber of Commerce in 2003. She was one of the Network Journal's 40 Under 40 Black Achievers.
