Samantha Ponder is the name of an American sportscaster working for ESPN/ABC Networks who is previously known as Samantha Steele. Samantha started to appear as Ponder after her husband’s surname since January 1, 2013.
The full name of Samantha Ponder is Samantha Sainte-Claire Ponder. She currently works as a reporter/host for the ESPN’s College Gameday, sideline reporter on ESPN’s Thursday Night Football, Super Tuesday and Saturday Primetime Basketball.
Samantha had moved to the ESPN on full time in 2012. Before being a full-timer in ESPN, she had worked in the Longhorn Network as a host and reporter and in Fox Sports as a reporter and columnist.

Samantha moved to New York from Phoenix at the age of 18 to pursue her career in sports television. While being in New York, she applied for the post of a host at ESPN Zone where she met with someone from ABC Network who helped her to do her internship at the network and later to the position of research-a s sistant with ABC-TV for the college football studio show.
After Liberty athletic director Bruce Carey offered her a job of sideline reporter for the Liberty Flames sports television network, she transferred to Liberty University to complete her education.
Career
After being a graduate, she worked in Fox Network as a sideline reporter for the college football and basketball games. Later in 2011, she joined ESPN’s Longhorn Network as a sideline reporter.
After entering at Longhorn Network, Samantha moved to Austin, Texas and began to reside there. However, in 2012, she was offered the full-time job in ESPN Network and started to work in there ever since as a full-timer.
Personal Life
Samantha, age 28 as of 2014, she is a married woman. She is married to a Minnesota Vikings quarterback, Christian Ponder. They had a brief courtship which turned into marriage in the year 2012 December 17, after few days of her 26th birthday in Hudson, Wisconsin.
Christian is a couple of years younger to Samantha, but as the couple is happy and makes a very adorable portrait, the age gap seems not a big deal to any.
The couple is enjoying their marital life. As for now, there is no sign of Samantha being pregnant or getting divorced. Both of them are concentrated much on their career at this moment and have been supporting each other.
