Sam Riegel is a married man. He has been married to Quyen Tran and has two children from their marriage. Currently, they reside in Los Angeles, California.
On September 11, 2001, Sam and his wife, Quyen Tran witnessed the attacks on the World Trade Center. They were caught once in the dust cloud formed by the destruction of the South Tower.
However, they successfully made their escapes to the Battery Park from where they eye witnessed the collapse of the North Tower. Sam captured its video footage that was featured in numerous doc u mentaries.
