The Lead Singer of Roses and Cigarettes Jenny Pagliaro Died At The Age Of 35 After Stage IV Breast Cancer Complications

The lead singer and co-founder of L.A. Americana duo Roses and Cigarettes Jenny Pagliaro is no more with us. She died due to stage IV breast cancer complications just at the age of 35.

A spokesperson for Jenny at Baby Robot Media confirmed that she died on March 26, 2019.

In a joint statement, Pagliaro’s family announced that she died peacefully at her home in Santa Monica, Calif, consoled by her devoted family and friends. They added:

With heavy hearts and great sorrow, we announce the pa s sing of our beloved Jenny on March 26, 2019.

Jenny is the co-founder and the lead singer of the band, Roses, and Cigarettes that she formed back in 2013 with Angela Petrilli. They released their self-titled debut two years later in May 2015.

Before a planning fall tour in support of the album, Jenny got diagnosed with the Stage II breast cancer. She then immediately began treatments before walking the road to promote the release.

While Jenny was receiving treatment, the band also continuously focused on producing music and play shows. They released their second album, Echoes, and Silence on Feb 22, 2019, with Billboard.

Jenny while speaking to Billboard revealed that the song was all about her battle with stage IV breast cancer. She furthermore added that it was all about not letting the biggest challenge of life stopping you from living your dreams.

Jenny added:

The Grateful Dead song 'Friend of the Devil' was kind of my inspiration lyric-wise for this song.
