Red Barnes was born in the year 1904 on 25th of December and sadly he pa s sed away on 3rd of July 1959. He will always remain in the hearts of baseball lovers till eternity. His contributions towards this beautiful game will never be forgotten. He achieved almost everything in this sport and always remained down to earth which proves what a great person he was. He was deadly in difficult times and a real nightmare for the opponents in any kind of the situation. He threw the ball with his right hand and was a lefty batsman. His selection in the team was one of the most talked about topics but he proved all his critics wrong and became one of the legendary figures in the game. In his living days he also taught the young kids the basics of the game. He never said no to them and this is also one main reason he was loved and respected by the young players as well.

He then decided to move to another team and this time the team was the mighty Chicago White Sox. He won the National Championship two times and it was in the year 1925 and 1926. He also won the All-Southern in the year 1926.
