Pushpa Kamal Dahal is a politician, Known better as Prachanda, is a former Prime Minister of Nepal. He was the Prime Minister of Nepal from 2008-2009 and 2016-2017.
Prachanda or Pushpa Kamal Dahal is an elite politician of Nepali nationality known for being the leader of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist-Center). He has been considered to be one of the richest people in Nepal.
Early Life
Prachanda was born on the 11th of December, 1954. Born in Dhikur Pokhari in the Kaski district, he spent most of his childhood in the Chitwan District. He obtained the diploma degree in science in agriculture from the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science. He was also involved in the rural development project of the USAID. After witnessing much poverty in his surroundings, he was attracted to leftist political parties.
Career
Following his interest in the political parties, he then led into following and joining the underground Communist Party of Nepal in 1981 and later became the party leader of the Communist Party of Nepal in 1989.
He was underground for almost 25 years underground and threatened war if 40 of his demands were not met. Finally, the demands were brought down to 24 demands which were fulfilled and eventually the civil war in Nepal was stopped.
He led a CPN Maoist in the 10 years civil war from (1995-2005). Currently, he is leading the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist-Center).

Pushpa Kamal Dahal is a married man. He has been married for a long time to his wife Sita Dahal. The couple is doing well and they live together as of now. Pushpa Kamal Dahal has three daughters and a son. The family is currently living together in Kathmandu.
He has been talked about in regards to his daughter and his son. Prachanda's son was also a well-known face in the political scenario of Nepal. Prachanda's son, Prakash Dahal died on 19 November 2017. He died due to a heart attack on Sunday's morning at Norvic Hospital.

The insurgency led to a civil war in which about 17,000 Nepalese people died. He has made the CPN-UML one of the strongest parties in Nepal and will surely continue his political endeavors in the Nepalese politics even in the Near future.
