The Prince of Wales, Prince Charles told his daughter-in-law, the Duchess of Sussex, heavily pregnant Meghan Markle not to wear a tiara on her first ever overseas state dinner. He feared that it might look extravagant on her.

Sources claim that Prince Charles turned over the plans of Meghan to wear a lavish tiara to an event in Fiji last October.

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan hoped of borrowing a lavish tiara from the Royal Collection for the event, but later, her father-in-law advised her that such ostentation is avoided in Commonwealth which can result “extravagant.”

A close source revealed that Meghan is new to the role, thus, did not understand all of this, so, Prince Charles suggested that it would not be appropriate for her.

Meghan Markle, who wore a full-length blue gown designed by Safiyaa, arrived for dinner hosted by Fiji Jioji Konrote’ present with an absence of tiara which dragged huge attention.

On the other side, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a large pearl and diamond tiara owned by Princess Diana on the same night.

However, Meghan wore a pair of diamond earrings which are borrowed possibly from the Royal Collection. The Royal Collection is believed to be the most extensive private collection of art from all over the world.
