Synopsis
Pitbull is an American rapper who gained fame for his 2009 album, Rebelution & won the Billboard Music Award for Top Radio song for "Give Me Everything" in 2012. His 2013 song "Timber" topped the Billboard Hot 100 list for three consecutive weeks.
Pitbull has two children with his ex-girlfriend, Barbara Alba, a daughter named Destiny and a son named Bryce.
Early life and education
Pitbull was born by his birth name, Armando Christian Pérez on 15th January 1981 in Miami, Florida to Cuban emigrants. His parents divorced when he was young & he was supported by his mother alone. He belongs to White-American ethnicity and holds an American nationality.
Jose Marti, a Cuban national hero & poet, influenced him & even at the age of three, Pitbull could recite Jose's most famous works. He believes his high music ac u men & popularity comes from his hard work and love for music. He spent his childhood listening to Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Ba s s Music, Techno, Hip-Hop, House & Rave.
Pitbull studied at South Miami Senior High School & graduated from the Miami Coral Park High School.
Career
Pitbull began his music career signing with Luke Records of Luther Campbell. Later he collaborated with the vice president of A&R in 2001.
Through one of his friends, Fernandez, Pitbull was introduced to Lil Jon who offered Pitbull a track in his album, Kings of Crunk. His appearance in Jon’s album helped him lift his career as a new & determined rapper.
In 2004, Pitbull came with his first album, M.I.A.M.I, produced by Lil Jon & the Diaz Brothers. His lead solo song ‘Culo’ peaked at No. 32 on the Billboard Hot 100 list & the Hot Rap Tracks list in No. 11.
Later in November of 2007, Pitbull released his third album ‘The Boatlift.' There are various popular singles & collaborations in the album including, “Secret Admirer” with Lloyd, “The Anthem” with Lil Jon, “Go Girl” with Trina, & “El Africano” with Wilfrido Vargas.
In 2009, Pitbull teamed up with Ultra Records, after his old label, TVT Records, went out of business, for his fourth album, ‘Rebelution.' Some of his famous tracks from the album are: “I Know You Want Me,” “Shooting Star,” “Hotel Room Service,” and “Blanco.”
In 2010, Pitbull collaborated with Emilio & Gloria Estefan. The same years in November, he released his fifth album, ‘Armando’ which was his debut Spanish-language album.
In April 2011, Pitbull featured in two singles with Jennifer Lopez in her album 'Love?'; they are: “On The Floor” and “Fresh Out The Oven.”
On 21st June 2011 came out with his 6th album titled ‘Planet Pit.' "Hey Baby," featuring T-Pain and was the first single of the album & was instantly a huge hit.
In 2013, Pitbull anchored, American Music Awards & gave a concert at the end of Formula 1 United States Grand Prix. Apart from this, Pitbull again collaborated with Jennifer Lopez for ‘Live It Up’ & appeared in the albums of Flo Rida, Priyanka Chopra, Belinda, Jessica Mauboy, Jason Derulo and others.
Pitbull performed at the ceremonial opening of World Cup 2014 along with Jennifer Lopez & Claudia Leitte in the song ‘We Are One’ & later the song was included in an album for World Cup 2014 ‘One Love, One Rhythm’ released on 15th April 2014.
In late 2015, Pitbull released single track ‘FREE.K’ sampled for ‘Freak Like Me’ of Adina Howard & also premiered another song ‘Freedom’ sampled the song ‘I’m Free’ for The Rolling Stones.
Personal life
Pitbull is not married yet, but he is the father of four children. With his ex-girlfriend, Barbara Alba, he has two children, a son Bryce, and a daughter Destiny. The rest of his children's are from his former girlfriend.
Pitbull and Alba had quite a long relationship however they eventually broke up in 2011. After that, Alba was allegedly receiving $3,000 per month as a child support for their daughter, Destiny Perez.
A few years later his break up with Alba, Pitbull dated Mexican-American glamour model, Olga Loera, known for her huge bust that is enhanced via silicone breast implants. However, this affair was relatively short-lived. Pitbull was also linked with singer Nayer, Jennifer Lopez but those were all rumors.
