Natasha Oakley was born on July 14, 1991, in Bronte, New South Wales, Australia ton to Guy Oakley and Lynette Laming. Both her parents were successful entrepreneurs which inspired her to start her own business. Her mother won Miss Australia in 1980 and was titled Miss Photogenic in Miss Universe. Her father was an Australian surf champion who now works as a private detective.
She has an elder sister, Samantha Oakley and a younger half-sister, Sophia Vantuno who is a blogger and photographer.
At the age of 10, Oakley moved to Miami and lived for three years. Then she spent two years in Maui where she first met her business partner Devin Brugman.

Natasha Oakley started her professional career at the age of 18, when she founded a production company, Datreats Productions, in Los Angeles. In 2012, she collaborated with Devin and launched a lifestyle blog, A Bikini A Day where they shared a photo of a new swimsuit every day. After the huge success of a blog, they established their own swimwear brand, MONDAY Swimwear, in 2014.
The first collection of MONDAY Swimwear was sold out in just two days. They released their product twice a year through direct-to-consumer e-commerce model. MONDAY succeeded to be one of the top seven US swimwear brands for women according to Evening Standard.
