Mother Of Five Children, Who Were Killed By Their Father, Asks Mercy For Ex-Husband

by Joey Jordan,

The father who was supposed to face a death punishment for slaying five children might be relieved after Tuesday's court session. The mother of the five asked the South Carolina jury to mercy her ex-husband's life.

The mother, identified as Amber Kyzer, said on the witness stand:

He didn't show my children any mercy by any means. But my kids loved him and if I'm speaking on behalf of my kids and myself, that's what I have to say.

Kyzer added,

I hear what my kids went through and what they endured. And as a mother, if I could personally rip his face off I would. That's the mom in me. That's the mama bear.

The defense lawyer subpoenaed Kyzer. Prosecutor Suzanne Mayes asked her if she was asking to spare his life on her own opinion. Before Kyzer testified, the defense lawyer called a social worker who testified about Jones' chaotic upbringing.

Prosecutors previously persuaded the judge not to let the social worker, Deborah Grey to testify before a jury convicted Jones of his crime back in August 2014. The Juror convicted Jones of the murders earlier June.
