Early Life and Education
Mike Cernovich was born Michael John Cernovich on November 17, 1977, in Illinois, USA. He was raised in a devout Christian family in the farming town of Kewanee, Illinois. His family was so poor growing up, he did his schooling with just a pair of pants.
Cernovich is the son of Michael John Cernovich and Diana Lynn. His mother suffered from mental illness. He belongs to American nationality and ethnicity wise, he is of mixed ethnical background.
Cernovich attended the University of Illinois and accomplished his graduation. He later joined the Pepperdine University School of Law.
Professional Career
Mike Cernovich began his career in 2004. He started a legal weblog, Crime & Federalism. American Lawyer Media selected his blog for syndication.
Cernovich promoted the ''coordinated hara s sment campaign'' called Gamergate in 2014. The campaign is about issues of sexism and progressivism in video game industry.
The following year, Cernovich published the self-help book, Gorilla Mindset. In the book, he talks about how a woman should submit to dominant alpha males.
He later became influential on social media as the member of the manosphere moment. He falsely claimed that Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton had a seizure disorder and Parkinson’s disease during the 2016 United Presidential Election.
The hashtag 'HillarysHealth' received 240K page views, as of September 2015. At the time, it also became a national trending topic on Twitter.
Cernovich said his support for Donald Trump is not based on his public policy, but he supports Trump for Trump’s alpha persona.
Cernovich supported to popularize the debunked Pizzagate conspiracy theory through his blog posts. In 2016, he blamed the Democratic Party for attempting to a s sa s sinate him. The same year, he criticized Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for speaking at a gender-segregated mosque.
In November 2017, Cernovich spread a false rumor that the shooter Devin Patrick Kelley was linked to Antifa, during the Southerland Springs church shooting.
Cernovich was also found to have paid $10K for information about congressional sexual hara s sment settlements.
Sam Seder Smear Campaign
Cernovich published a post on Medium, on November 28, 2017, that resurfaced a deleted tweet MSNBC talk radio host Sam Seder wrote in 2009. He was joking about a convicted child rapist and fugitive film director Roman Polanski.
The tweet stated,
"Don't care re Polanski, but I hope if my daughter is ever raped it is by an older truly talented man w/ a great sense of mise en scene."
Cernovich later approached many journalists and news outlets to break the story. MSNBC also faced several negative reviews, after the tweet was interpreted as a rape joke by Cernovich.
TheWrap made a public announcement that MSNBC had chosen to sever ties with Seder by not renewing his contract because of the controversial tweet on December 4, 2017.
Soon after. MSNBC decided to reverse their decision to terminate Seder’s employment and rehired him on December 7.

Personal Life
Mike Cernovich has been married twice. He got married for the first time in 2003. They were law students at Pepperdine. He has stated that the marriage was ruined by feminist indoctrination.
Cernovich’s ex-wife became an attorney in Silicon Valley and garnered a tremendous amount of money from an initial public offering of stock. She filed for divorce in the year 2011 and their divorce finalized the same year.
Shortly after the separation, Cernovich met his second wife, Shauna Cernovich at a bar in Santa Monica. The couple dated for almost four years before getting married in November 2015. They welcomed their first child, a daughter; Cyra Cernovich in early 2017.
The couple is currently residing outside of Los Angeles along with their daughter. Besides, he is also active on social media platforms like Twitter with 390,000 followers, as of January 2018. In 2003, he faced rape allegation but he blatantly refused it.
