First things first; Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed Baby Sussex! But, things didn't go as planned for the Royals as Meghan had to give birth in a hospital.
The Daily Mail reported previously that the Duchess of Sussex wanted to have a traditional home birth although she had thought of going to the hospital if it was best for the baby.
Meghan and Harry had hoped to have an all-female midwife-led delivery at their home at Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate, however, as Meghan became more overdue, it became more unlikely to happen.
According to the Daily Mail, the 37 years' old was a week overdue however, she had to be whisked off in secrecy to a London hospital where she gave birth.
The Sussex Royal posted on their Instagram page,
This afternoon, His Royal Highness The Duke of Sussex shared the news of the arrival of his and the Duchess' first born child. Their son was born early morning the 6th of May, 2019 and weighs 7lbs and 3oz.
The post went on to thank their followers for their support and kindness.
On May 8th, Baby Sussex made a public appearance with his parents.
Congratulations to the couple for their glorious step forward in their love life. But, what name did the new Baby Sussex get?
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are pleased to announce they have named their first born child: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
In addition to his name, Baby Sussex or Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor also met the Royal Highness, Her Majesty The Queen at the Windsor Castle.
