Marcellus Wiley is a former American football defensive end player. Wiley played for many well-known teams the San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, and Jacksonville Jaguars. Besides, Marcellus is also a television personality who previously worked as the co-host of the SportsNation on ESPN with Michelle Beadle. He is currently a part of Fox Sports 1's Speak For Yourself.

Marcellus Wiley was born on November 30, 1974, in Compton, California, United States America. Wiley belongs to American nationality and his ethnicity is Black.

Marcellus spent his amazing childhood in Compton with his family. He is the son of Charles Wiley and Valerie Howard. Wiley earned his formal education from Saint Monica Catholic High school, where he was one of the best students. During his student life, he was active in football and track and field.

Wiley was the 1998 National typewriting champion with 82 words per minute. Later, he moved to Columbia University, where he played as a tailback, defensive end, and kick returner. From there, he earned a degree in sociology in 1997.  

Professional Career

Talking about his professional career, Marcellus Wiley was invited to the NFL Combine, where he was measured in at six feet and four inches, 257 pounds and pressed 225 pounds for an impressive twenty-eight time. He started his professional football career as a situation pa s s rusher, recording nine sacks through his first three years.

When Hall-of-Famer Bruce Smith left for the Washington Redskins in 2000, Marcellus Wiley replaced him at defensive end for the Bills. In his decade's long career, he was voted once of the Pro Bowl in 2001.

TV Career

Wiley later started his career in a media field. He previously worked as a co-host of the SportsNation on ESPN. He also worked for the afternoon drive-time sports talk radio show on ESPN 710AM in Los Angeles.
