Harty Condolence! Lynn Cohen, a former actress who played the role of Magda on the HBO romance drama series Sex and the City, died on Friday, February 14. She was 86.

Her death was confirmed by her representative to The Hollywood Reporter.

The exact cause of death has not been officially disclosed. However, some online sources have reported that she died of natural causes.

Cohen started her acting career in theaters; she initially appeared on New York stages in the late 1970s.

Later in 1983, she made her screen debut in the mystery drama film Without a Trace, starring Kate Nelligan and Judd Hirsch. She then appeared in numerous television shows such as Law and Order, Damages, NYPD Blue and Nurse Jackie.

Cohen was widely known for portraying Magda, the nanny for Miranda Hobbs (played by Cynthia Nixon), in "Sex and the City." She joined the cast of the series in 2000 and then reprised her role in its follow-up films.

Her other notable film credits are Woody Allen's Manhattan Murder Mystery and Deconstructing Harry, Vanya on 42nd Street, Walking and Talking, Cradle Will Rock, Eagle Eye, The Station Agent, Munich, Across the Universe and Synecdoche, New York.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Theodore Cohen, who she married in 1964.
