Initially, he played for the San Diego University, California. Then, he was enrolled at the University of Arizona and started playing for the college under the coaching of Lute Olson.
In 2003, after graduating from the University, he began his senior career with the LA Lakers. In 2012, he left the team and joined Cleveland Cavaliers for one season.
In 2011 season, University of Memphis hired him as an assistant coach under the head coach Josh Pastner. Then, he spent two seasons as a coach at Golden State Warriors and guided Ramon Sessions and Christian Eyenga.
