Introduction
Louisa Krause was born on 20th May 1986 in Falls, Church, Virginia, United States. She is an American stage, television and film actress. Louisa’s father is a half Japanese and her mother is an American. She has a younger brother whose name is Nathaniel, a director.
Education and career
By studying dance at the Washington School of Ballet in Washing D.C Louisa Krause started her interest in arts. When she was in high school, she started performing in a number of plays as well as musicals. After the high school, Louisa went to Carnegie Mellon Drama School. By performing in as summer stock production of Aida she earned her Equity card.
Louisa started her career, since 2007, by performing in three Off-Broadway plays. In the Signature Theatre Company’s production of Iphigenia 2.o, she played the title character of Iphigenia. From 2007 June 7 to July 7, she also starred in the world premiere of In a Dark Dark House by Neil LaBute at Lucille Lortel Theatre.
Louisa Krause’s began her acting career from the year 2007. She had a supporting role in the film named The Speed of Life and The Babysitter. After two years in 2009, she appeared in the film named Taking Woodstock which was directed by Ang Lee and the film named Toe to Toe. She has appeared in several short films and is known for her work in independent cinema.
From the film named Youth Adult-directed by Jason Reitman, in 2011, Louisa Krause broke into the mainstream films. She had also made an appearance in the film named Martha Marcy May Marlene opposite to John Hawkes and Elizabeth Olsen as a cult member Zoe. She got into the film through her work with the Sundance Film Festival.
In the year 2012, Louisa was seen in the film named ‘Return’ starring Linda Cardellini and Michael Shannon. She had also starred in the independent film named King Kelly as the character named Kelley. In the following year, Louisa worked in the film named ‘Bluebird’ and “You Can’t Win”, a film based on the novel named You Can’t Win.
Louisa Krause has also appeared in a number of television roles including ‘Law & Order’ in the episode ‘Angelgrove’ in the year 2008.
