Liu Yifei was born on 25 August 1987 in Wuhan, Hubei, China. She is a daughter of Liu Xiaoli, An Shaokang. Her father was a professor and her mother was a stage performer and dancer. At an early age of ten, her parents got divorced and she lived with her mother.
Liu Yifei was prepared by her mom in moving, singing, and piano at a tender age of 8. On her ninth birthday, Yifei got a precious stone from her mother as a birthday present.
