Laura Govan, the single mother of four, was engaged to the former NBA Player Gilbert Arenas from 2008 to 2014. Their engagement never turned into marriage but they were steady enough to have four children together.
Laura Govan's relationship with Gilbert Arenas ended in late 2014 when Gilbert kicked her from their LA mansion and then sold off her $1 million engagement ring.
According to the article published on March 23, 2015, in TMZ, She filed a doc u ment in court in which she claimed they are in the middle of a NASTY split.
The Basketball Wives LA star claimed that she started dating Gilbert in 2002- before he made nearly $200 million in NBA contract money.
The exes never had a formal wedding, but Laura said they "lived together as husband and wife" and he promised that he would share equally of his earnings from 2003 on .. as if they were legally married.
What Went Wrong With Laura Govan and Gilbert Arenas
The couple was planning their marriage in 2012, but it ended up in nasty legal battle. Gilbert Arenas sued Laura and her producer for trademark infringement, false advertising, and misappropriation of the star's likeness but he dropped the lawsuit a few months later. Talking about it all, Govan said:
People say he's a mess, and I’m a mess. You know what, we're each other's messes. Everybody has breakup and make up moments. It just so happens that ours is out in the public. You learn to grow.
It seems their marriage failed due to trust issues. That must have been hard! However, after the nasty split from Gilbert Arenas, Govan hasn't dated anyone officially, raising four children alone must keep her busy.

Laura, Gloria Govan's older sister, recently launched her accessory line SHOP IN REAL LIFE and is also continuing her television career steadily. In 2016, she appeared in the TV One's The Next 15 along with her former PlayerWives co-star Karamo Brown and Jennifer Wiliams.
