A Private Memorial for Kirk Douglas! A private memorial was held on Friday, February 7, in Los Angeles.

His friends and family, including his son Michael Douglas and daughter-in-law Catherine Zeta-Jones, were there to remember him. Michael, 75, walked hand in hand with his wife, 50, at the memorial.

Kirk's wife Anne Buydens, and grandson Cameron Douglas were also present at the funeral.

As we reported earlier, Michael Douglas shared a touching Instagram post on Wednesday, February 5, to announce the death of his father. He was 103.

Alongside some throwback photos with Kirk, he wrote,

It is with tremendous sadness that my brothers and I announce that Kirk Douglas left us today at the age of 103.

Back in 1991, Kirk had survived a helicopter crash and later in 1996, he suffered multiple strokes. So we can say that he had a pa s sionate will to survive.

Kirk started his acting career in the 1940s and had since appeared in more than 90 movies and TV shows. He was first nominated for the Academy Award in 1949.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and The Bad and the Beautiful, both released in 1953, are some of his hit movies.
