Kashmira Cooke was born as Kashmira Bulsara, in 1952, in Zanzibar, Tanzania, to father Bomi Bulsara and mother Jer Bulsara. Cooke was born to Parsi parents from India. Her parents fled Tanzania during the Zanzibar Revolution and moved to Middlesex, England in 1964 when she was 12 years.

Cooke had a brother, Freddie Mercury (née Farrokh Bulsara) who was 6 years older than her. He died on 24 November 1991 at 45 from Bronchopneumonia as a complication of AIDS. As Zanzibar was a British protectorate until 1963, Cooke was born a British citizen.

Kashmira Cooke has been in the spotlight for decades, however, she has been remaining under the radar when it comes to her career and profession. Cooke didn't follow the career path of her older brother, Mercury.

But she has some acting credit in the TV Movie doc u mentary including Freddie Mercury, the Untold Story, The Story of Bohemian Rhapsody, Freddie Mercury: Magic Remixed.
