Josh was born as Joshua Collins ‘Josh’ Stamberg on 4th January, 1970 in Washington, D. C., US to Susan Stamberg and Louis C. Stamberg. His mother Susan is a well known journalist where as his father; Louis is a retired State department employee. Josh was very much influenced by his mother and wanted to work in front of the cameras. Thus with the consent of his parents, Josh went on to take up acting as his career.
Josh went on to attend The Maret Sachool from cla s s 4th to cla s s 12th. He then went on to join University of Wisconsin Madison . From Madison, he earned an undergraduate Degree in Philosophy and acting. Aftyer honing his acting talent, Josh went on to grab his first role in a film as character Peter Morgan in 2000’s The Photographer. Since then, he has been seen in movies like, Kate & Leopold, Crazy Little Thing, The Time Machine, Washington Heights, A Lot Like Love, Love for Rent, Fracture, J.Edgar, Afternoon delight, Saving Lincoln as Salmon P. Chase, Dark Skies and many more. He made his television debut in spin City as character Phil Hockner in 1998. He has since been seen in series like, Sex and the City, The Street, CSI: Miami, Law & Order, NYPD Blue, Six Feet Under, Monk, Over There, Courting Alex, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Men in Trees, The Whole Truth, Castle, Parenthood. Additionally, he has been seen as Max in 13 episodes of The Affair.
