Jorge Garcia is an American actor and comedian. His performance as Hector Lopez on the television show Becker got him public attention. But apparently, he became famous for playing the role of Hugo 'Hurley' Reyes in the TV series Lost from 2004 to 2010. In recent, he starred in the FOX Television series Alcatraz as well as playing a small role on ABC's Once Upon a Time.

Jorge Garcia was born on 28 April 1973 in Omaha, Nebraska, United States of America. He is the son of Humberto Garcia (father) and Dora Mesa (mother). His father is a Chilean-born doctor and mother is a Cuban -born professor.
Garcia was raised in San Juan Capistrano in Orange County, California. He completed his high school from San Clemente High School. In high school, he was a wrestler and was nicknamed 'Baby-Faced killer' for his innocent looking face but killer moves in the ring.
As a senior, Gracia was chosen by the faculty as 'Triton of the Year', an award was given to a graduating senior. In 1995, he graduated from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) as a Communication Studies major.

He got television advertisements gigs, the most popular amongst all was a Jack in the Box commercial that aired on the local TV stations. His initial recurring character came in Becker where he characterized Hector Lopez for almost 13 episodes.
His big break came in 2004 after landing the role of Hugo 'Hurley' Reyes in American Dram Television series Lost. He appeared in 108 episodes and for his performance won him a Screen Actors Guild Award.
After his big achievement in Lost, he got chance to play a handful of film gigs involving Little Athens in 2005, Deck the Halls in 2006 and Sweetzer in 2007. He also had a guest role in How I Met Your Mother, Fringe, and Mr. Sunshine.
He was cast in FOX series, Alcatraz, however, the show was discontinued because of the low ranking. Some of his recent feature film gigs are Get a Job (2016) and Rock Dog (2016).
