American actor, Jordan Bridges is known for his portrayal as Uncle Grad in the 2004 movie, Samantha: An American Girl Holiday. He appeared in some popular TV series such as Dawson’s Creek, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and CSI: NY.

Bridges has recently appeared in the movie, Den of Thieves. The movie grossed $20 million at the box office. He started acting at an early age of 9 alongside his father, in the 1982 made-for-TV film, The Kid From Nowhere.

Early Life and Education

Jordan Bridges was born on November 13, 1973, in California, U.S. He is American by nationality belonging to White-American ethnicity. He is the son born to Beau Bridges and Julie Landfield. He the nephew of Jeff Bridges and the grandson of Lloyd Bridges and Dorothy Bridges.

Bridges’ family were from acting background. His father, uncle, and grandparents were also actors. He has two brothers, Casey Bridges, & Jeffery Bridges, two half-brothers, Dylan Bridges, & Ezekiel Bridges and a half-sister, Emily Bridges.

Bridges attended Bard College, where he studied performing arts. He graduated from the college after completing his study.

Bridges started his career in 1982. He professionally acted in the Tv film, The Kid from Nowhere (1982). The film was directed by his father. He did not want to be an actor during his childhood days. He went to L. A’s progressive Oakwood school leaving his acting career.

Bridges’ parents divorced on March 12, 1984. His father later married Wendy Treece.

Bridges, however, followed his acting career. He joined Bard College in New York taking theater as a major and literature as a minor.

Bridges spent his junior year in England. He studied at the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in London. He lived in a tiny basement flat in Chelsea and attended West End theatre productions on free pa s ses.

Career

Bridges worked as a waiter in New York and Los Angeles for several years. After a long hiatus, he starred in an American TV drama, Conviction in 2006. He portrayed Nick Potter in the series.  

Bridges made his movie debut in the 2002 movie, New Suit. His other notable works include Samantha: An American Girl Holiday (2004), Love Comes Softly, and its series Love Wing & Love Finds a Home.

Bridges is also known for his recurring role on an American TV series, Dawson Creek. He appeared as a guest in the second part of the premiere episode of the series, Charmed (season 4).

Bridges is known for his supporting roles in many films such as Drive Me Crazy (1999), Frequency (2000), Happy Campers (2001), and Mona Lisa Smile (2003).

Bridges starred alongside Bonnie Somerville, Shelley Long, and Haylie Duff in a 2011 film, Holiday Engagement. The film premiered on November 28, 2011, on Hallmark Channel.

Bridges was cast as the main character in the TNT drama series Rizzoli & Isles. The series was premiered on July 12, 2010, and ended on September 5, 2016.

Bridges played Evan Hunter in an American drama, Christmas at Holly Lodge in 2017. He was cast alongside Alison Sweeney, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Crystal Lowe, among others in the drama.

Bridges portrayed Lobbin’ Bob in the 2018 movie, Den of Thieves. He shared the screen with Gerard Butler, 50 Cent, Pablo Schreiber, O’Shea Jackson Jr., and Evan Jones, among others. The movie was a big hit grossing $20 million at the box office.

Personal Life

Bridges plays piano, guitar, and writes music as well. He learned Kung-Fu for 10 years. He represents the third generation of a family of actors.

Bridges is a married man and has two children. He married Caroline Sherman Eastman, an artist-inventor, in 2002. They tied the knot in three different ceremonies: twice at the Burning Man arts festival in 2002, and once in a relatively traditional ceremony in Kaua'i on January 2, 2003.

Bridges currently resides in California, U.S. with his family. They have a daughter named Caroline (nickname Lola), born in 2003. The couple welcomed their son, Orson on October 20, 2005.
