Jesus Manuel Corona started his football career after he joined Monterrey. At the age of 17, he made his senior debut as a starter in a 2-1 victory over Atlante. On 7th October 2011, he scored his first goal for the team in 3-2 win over Estudiantes.

Twente

Corona signed a four-year contract on 22nd August 2013 with F.C. Twente. At the end of season 2015-16, he appeared in 51 games scoring 13.

Porto

On 22nd August 2013, Corona was transferred to Portuguese club, Porto. He signed a four-year contract deal for €10.5 million ($12.39 million) with €50 million ($58.98 million) buy-out clause. He scored two goals in his debut match for the club on 12th September 2015 in a 3-1 victory over FC Arouca.

Jesus Manuel Corona’s International Career

Jesus Manuel Corona made his international debut in the 2011 and 2012 Milk Cup with the Mexico U-20 team. Corona was called up by coach, Sergio Almaguer for the 2013 CONCACAF U-20 Championship. He was selected as the squad member at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup hosted in Turkey.

On 12th November 2014, he made his debut with the Mexico national team in the friendly match against the Netherlands which the team won 3-2. The following year, he was part of the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup squad. In the tournament, he scored his first international goal in a 3-1 victory over Philadelphia.
