Jenny Brockie is an Australian journalist and documentary-maker. She currently serves as the host for the SBS program, Insight. She is best known for serving more than 20 years in broadcasting, reporting nationally and internationally for ABC currents affairs programs.
Early life and Education
Jenny Brockie was born in between of 1954 to 1955, in Castle Hill, New South Wales, Australia. She belongs to Australian nationality and her ethnicity is white. She lived in Castle Hill until she was five. She is an only daughter of her parents.
Jenny Brockie grew up on Sydney’s north shore – Pymble and Turramurra. Jenny’s father was a keen equestrian who had sustained a fractured skull after thrown from a horse. Unfortunately, again he was involved in a minor car accident. After completing her high school, she completed her graduation from Macquarie University.
Jenny Brockie began her broadcasting career with ABC television and radio news. Jenny presented the morning radio show on 702 ABC Sydney and her own series for Speaking Personally for ABC TV.
Jenny Brockie is also a strong demand as a facilitator, interviewer, and speaker in both the private sectors and public. She has worked with clients like the Royal Australian Institute of Architects, GHD Engineering, Macfarlane Burnet Institute for Medical Research, Gold Coast City Council Urban Design Conference, and Public Health.
Jenny Brockie received two AFI Awards, a Logie, a Human Rights Award, two Law Society Awards for her works as a television journalist and documentary filmmaker. She also earned a United Nations Association Media Peace award for her work on Insight in 2006 and 2008. She was honored with the Walkley All Media Interview Award for Young Mob in 2013.

Jenny Brockie is a married woman. She was married to her boyfriend Peter Manning. The couple has one daughter named Thea Brockie. She is around 31 years and working as a primary school teacher.
