Jan Rousseaux, the wife of John Ramsey, father of the late JonBenet, has an intriguing life story that extends beyond her marriage to the grieving father. From her early childhood in East Africa to her successful career in fashion and design, Jan has experienced numerous ups and downs. 

Jan's husband, John served in the Navy from 1966 to 1974, and in 1989 he formed the Advanced Product Group, which later merged to become Access Graphics. He was the president and CEO of Access Graphics, a computer services company and a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin.

Before meeting John Ramsey, Jan had been married twice and had several adult children of her own. His first marriage produced four children, two of whom tragically passed away – one in a car accident and the other, JonBenet, in the still-unsolved murder case. John Ramsey was born in 1943 in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Mary Jane and James Dudley Ramsey. He attended Okemos High School in Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University in 1966 with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He later earned a master's degree in business administration from MSU in 1971.

Tragically, in December 1996, Ramsey's six-year-old daughter, JonBenét, was found murdered in the family's Boulder, Colorado home. The case has never been solved, and the Ramsey family has been dogged by speculation that they were responsible for her death.
