German actress Jordis Triebel is known for her roles in movies such as Emma's Bliss (2006), Pope Joan (2009) and The Silent Revolution (2018). Early Life And Education Of Jordis Triebel

Jordis Triebel was born on 30th October 1977 in Prenzlauer Berg, Germany. She belongs to Caucasian ethnicity/race and holds Germany nationality.

Triebel has three sisters. Her mother served as the props mistress at the Theater der Freundschaft which inspired Triebel to be an actress.

Triebel went to Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she studied acting from 1997 to 2001.

Jordis Triebel’s Career

After her graduation, Jordis Triebel worked in Bremer Theater, working there for more than three years until 2004. She then worked with one of the most prominent and important German theatres, Schauspielhaus Zürich for a year.

Jordis Triebel made her screen debuted from the 2003 Antje Busse’s short film, Lange Tage. She also appeared as a guest in German television series, Wolffs Revier as Herzblut.

Triebel's first lead role came as Emma in 2006 romantic tragic-comedy, Emma's Bliss. She won German Film Award for Best Leading Actress for her work in Emma's Bliss, Pope Joan, West and One Breath

Triebel then made her appearances in a number of TV series which includes, KDD – Kriminaldauerdienst, Der Kommissar und das Meer, Das Duo, Blochin, Rosa Roth whereas her movie credits include A Woman in Berlin, Wolfskinder, Waiting for Angelina, and The Hairdresser among others.

In 2013, Triebel played the lead role in the escape drama Westen about the GDR writer Julia Franck, for which she was nominated at the World Film Festival in Montreal.

Moreover, Triebel also appeared in the famous 2017’s German science fiction thriller web series, Dark as Katharina Nielsen, mother of Moritz Jahn. In the series, she was cast with Louis Hofmann, Maja Schöne, Oliver Masucci, and Stephan Kampwirth.

Triebel’s most recent movie was 2018 Germany drama movie, The Silent Revolution, released on March 1, 2018. In the movie, she played character Kreisschulrätin Kessler working alongside Erik Babinsky and Grenzbeamter.
