Then she served as Madrid correspondent for BBC network. She also signed as Middle East correspondent for BBC in December 2006.

Adler also served as an occasional host on HARDtalk. In the year 2014, she became BBC's Europe editor replacing Gavin Hewitt.

In 2019, the veteran media personality also won Charles Wheeler award for Outstanding Contribution to Broadcast Journalism.
