Gwen Stefani is a famous American singer-songwriter, fashion designer, as well as an actress. She is also known as the lead vocalist of the rock band, No Doubt. Stefani won a Grammy Award for Hey Baby, Underneath it, and Let me blow ya mind.

Stefani married Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale on 4th September 2002, and they have three sons, Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale, Kingston James McGregor Rossdale, and Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale before filing for divorce in 2015. Currently, she is dating American singer, Blake Shelton, since 2015.

Early life and Education

Gwen Stefani was born as Gwen Renee Stefani on 3rd October 1969 in Fullerton, California. She is of White ethnicity and holds American nationality.

Stefani is the second child of her parents, Dennis, a Yamaha marketing executive, and Patti, an accountant turned homemaker. She has four siblings, Jill, Todd and older brother, Eric.

Stefani was introduced to folk music and artists like Bob Dylan and Emmylou Harris by her parents. She also developed a love for musicals such as the Sound of Music & Evita.

The Let me blow ya mind singer went to Loara High School in Anaheim, California, and was dyslexic. She made her onstage debut during a talent act at the Loara High School to sing "I Have Confidence," from The Sound of Music.

Career

In 1987, Gwen Stefani graduated from high school and began attending Fullerton College before transferring to the California State University, Fullerton. She started as a vocalist for her brother, Eric’s band, No doubt.

In the year 1991, No Doubt signed to Interscope Records. Their debut self-titled album, released in 1992 was not successful as grunge was more popular than their ska-pop.

In 2000, No Doubt released ‘Return of Saturn’ which retained the ska punk & reggae influences, however, had slower, ballad-like songs. The lyrics reflected the singer’s relationship with Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale.

Stefani founded her fashion line, L.A.M.B, an acronym of her debut solo album, which manufactures apparel & fashion accessories and a fragrance called "L.”.

Personal life

Gwen Stefani married to Bush guitarist as well as a lead singer, Gavin Rossdale, with whom she met during the mid-1995 when No Doubt and rock band Goo Goo Dolls went on tour opening for his band, Bush.

The former couple tied the knot on 14th September 2002, with a wedding in the St Paul's, Covent Garden, London. After two weeks, a second wedding was held in Los Angeles.

Stefani and Rossdale have three sons, Kingston James McGregor Rossdale born on 26th May 2006, Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale born on 21st August 21, 2008, and Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale born 28th February 2014.

On 3rd August 2015, Stefani filed for divorce against her husband, citing irreconcilable differences. It was finalized on 8th April 2016, in which Rossdale agreed to the "unequal split" of their a s sets.

Previously, Stefani had an affair with her bandmate, Tony Kanal however, they broke-up after seven years. Currently, she is in a relationship with an American singer-songwriter, actor, as well as a television personality, Blake Shelton since 2015.

Net worth

Though Stefani is still worth millions, an estimated $80 million to be exact, comprising of her clothing line, music, and a judging gig on The Voice.  

In 2011, Stefani donated $1 million to Save the Children's Japan Earthquake–Tsunami Children in an Emergency Fund and ran an auction on eBay of vintage clothing, designed and signed by her, from her wardrobe.
