Later in 2017, the book was adopted in the film under the same name The Disaster Artist. In the biographical comedy-drama film, the actor Dave Franco played the role of Greg.
Besides his successful movie roles, the actor was also featured on the music video of Miranda Lambert, White Liar. The music video ended up winning The Academy of Country Music Awards for Music Video of the Year.
