Glen was born on 1st January 1991 in Miami, Florida of parents Glen Rice Sr. and Tracey Starwood. His father, Glen Rice Jr was the all-time leading scorer for Michigan who was a member of the 1999-2000 Los Angeles Lakers championship team.
Glen attended the Walton High School which is based in Marietta, Georgia where he began playing basketball. Glen then continued his pa s sion of playing basketball in college as well. He began playing for Georgia Tech University in 2009. Glen earned his highs while in Georgia tech with 17 points, 8 rebounds, 4 a s sists in the deciding match of 2nd March 2010 against Clemson. After his college career in basketball, Glen went on to be drafted in the 2013 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. He was picked in the second round as the 35th pick. His pro career later began in 2012 when he played as a shooting guard/ small forward for NBA Development Leagues Rio Grande Valley Vipers. He played excellently while there. Glen managed to average 25 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.3 a s sists, 2 blocks and 2 steals in the playoffs. In the D-League finals, Glen went on to average 29 points, 11.5 rebounds, 4 a s sists, 3 steals and 3.5 blocks. He was then waived off by the Vipers. On 8th July 2013, Glen went on to play for Washington Wizards and played there exceptionally. Later in the 2014 season, Glen was transferred to Iowa Energy by the Washington Wizards. Later on 28th January 2014, Glen was recalled by the Wizards also because he managed to average 24.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.7 blocks and 2.0 steals in the three NBA Development League games. This proved to be more of a rehab a s signment to Glen than demotion. Again on 27th February 2014 he was a s signed back to Iowa Energy and later on 5th April 2014 he returned to the Wizards. Yet again on 20th November 2014, Glen was a s signed to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants where he played not too long. Finally on 7th January 2015, Glen was waived off by the Washington Wizards. Glen decided to join the Vipers yet again on 12th January 2015. He is currently playing fantastically with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
Not much of Glens personal life is known to the media unlike his fathers private detail which is known to the public pretty well. Glen is reluctant about sharing his private information to the media. He is not yet married and does not have any children.
Glen is currently 24 years old , weighs around 93 kgs and is 6 feet 6 inches tall. He was once dismissed in his college basketball career because he had been caught driving under the influence and discharging a firearm at the same instance . For this he was also chared with permiting unlawful operation. However Glen has maintained his basketball skills and is thriving forward . He was the member of the NBA D-League championiin 2013 and the NBA D-League All-Rookie Second Team in the same year. While in Georgia Tech university , Glen was regarded as one of the Top 20 potential transfers in the country by CBS Sports. He was also a MVP of the 2014 NBA Summer League.
