Eamon Farren was born on May 19, 1985, in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. At the age of six, he moved to the Gold Coast with his parents and settled there. Once in an interview, he shared his experience of growing up in The Gold Coast where he said,

We'd enjoy ourselves all night by the water with music. They're the best parties I've ever been to.

Farren attended the Benowa State High School and studied in its French Immersion Program. Later, he graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2007.

Eamon Farren started his acting career in the Showtime telemovie, The Outsider in 2001 starring  Naomi Watts and Tim Daly. Later, he worked in several theater companies in Australia which helped him to enhance his acting career.

The actor got his breakthrough in 2012 in Jennifer Lynch's film, Chained. Then he was featured in the ABC TV movie, Carlotta where he played the role of a transgender "Danny/Ava." The role earned him the AACTA Award in 2015 for the Best Guest Or Supporting Actor in a Television Drama.

In 2014 Eamon worked in theatrical plays like Switzerland and Girl Asleep. He portrayed Richard Horne in the U.S. TV series, Twin Peaks in 2017.
