The American rapper was also linked romantically with Jara Everett, Kidada Jones, and Madonna, among others.

Mopreme Shakur, akin to Tupac, is involved in the music industry as a rapper. On the other hand, Takerra Allen, the youngest among the siblings, has made a name for herself as an accomplished author, with an impressive collection of over 17 published books to her credit.

Chinua's Late Father Was Arrested For Robbery

Mutulu Shakur, a former member of the Black Liberation Army, faced charges of robbery and murder. Despite being on the run for nearly six years, he was apprehended by the FBI in California on February 12, 1986.

Shakur received a 60-year prison sentence for his involvement in the Brink's robbery, which resulted in the deaths of two policemen and a guard. In 2019, he sought a reduction in his sentence but was unsuccessful in his appeal.

Subsequently, Mutulu Shakur was granted parole on November 10, 2022, primarily due to his declining health. After serving 38 years in prison, he was released on December 16, 2022. Unfortunately, his freedom was short-lived as he passed away after eight months of being granted parole.

A Brief About Chinua's Legal Battles

Sekyiwa Shakur has encountered legal conflicts, notably filing a lawsuit against Tom Whalley, the executor of their mother's estate, in January 2022. Allegations from Sekyiwa suggest that Whalley has drawn over $5 million from the Amaru Foundation.

Additionally, in September 2019, Sekyiwa was engaged in another legal dispute. She asserted ownership over Tupac's album cover art and NFTs.
