Rumors were that ‘BBC Breakfast’ stars Steph McGovern and Carol Kirkwood had fallen out. So they played down speculation of a feud, humorously on the show. The pair staged somewhat of a love-in during Wednesday show, after host Dan Walker put fans’ concerns to them. He confronted the duo about all the rumors of their fallout.
As business journalist Steph gave the latest news on the Budget, Dan commented: “Some people watching think that you and Carol have fallen out.” To which Steph replied saying, “Oh no!” Dan continued to talk about it and said: “So we thought why don’t you hand over to Carol with the weather and make sure that it’s all very friendly and lovely.”
Steph too took it spontaneously and went back to Carol, who presents the weather from a studio in London, while the rest of the team broadcast from Manchester, Steph said, “Carol, gorgeous one. You know I love you. I have to say, thank you for all the biscuit crumbs that were all over the set that I had to sweep up before I started.” To which Dan couldn’t control his laughter.
Steph later came back to him and said, “You could never be any good at the weather like Carol.” And addressing Carol again Steph continued, “So go for it, kid!” And Carol too did not hesitate to carry on the banter, she replied saying “What a fabulous introduction! I think you should do it every day actually, Steph.” “This reminds me of when you’ve got a packet of biscuits in your pocket and you see Carol Kirkwood,” Steph joked last month enlightening upon Carol's love for morning biscuits.
The shows airs on a daily basis and speculation were made about the fall out of Steph and Carol, these two seemingly responded and cleared the hatch between them. They acted like they never even had any "cold relation" shared. Was it all just for media or are they really okay with each other? The tv stars personal life is given very little privacy and the same case was for these two. Both the Tv presenter's relationship status is married and their salary is however not disclosed.
