Beyoncé Teared Up Receiving The Humanitarian Award At The 2018 Wearable Art Gala

JAY-Z and wife, Beyonce, had a family night out with daughter, Blue Ivy, last weekend.

The family made their appearance at the 2018 Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles to extend their support to Beyonce's mom Tina Knowles and her husband, Richard Lawson.

At the event, Beyonce's mom, Tina Knowles and JAY-Z's mom, Gloria Carter were honored for their contribution to uplift art trends. JAY-Z’s mom was awarded the Everyday People Award and also received a warm tribute from her rapper son, JAY-Z. In honor of his mother, JAY-Z said:

She raised four kids, and she did the best job with me

Also, receiving an award was Beyonce, who heard much applauds for the 2018 WACO Theater Humanitarian Award. Beyonce went emotional while delivering the award acceptance speech.

Before she could take the podium, she was greeted by her 17-year-old fan, Hannah Brammer, born with brittle bones. The moment turned special for Beyonce when she received a message from BFF Michelle Obama that was played on the screen. Beyonce who went emotional while accepting the award was quoted saying:

There is something that feels very off about receiving this award from my mother, She raised me to believe that giving was not an option, but a privilege and a responsibility

The dress code of the event was themed "from WACO to Wakanda," that showcased and inspired dressing from the Black Panther. The event also featured an auction of artwork to raise money for a nonprofit art and performance complex.
