Bert Kish was a famous Canadian filmmaker, director, cinematographer, producer, and editor. Apart from his professional life, he was also renowned for being the son of the talented moviemaker and editor Albert Kish. Sadly, he died of cancer in May 2017 at the age of 52.

His father died of cancer two years before his death in 2015. He died of cancer at the Toronto General Hospital. He was survived by his wife of 21 years, Katalin Futo, two sons, Bert and Colin, from a previous marriage, and two grandsons, Aris and Ryan.
