American actor and director Benjamin Geza Affleck-Boldt aka Ben Affleck, who grabbed huge attention for her incredible performances in movies and series like The Voyage of the Mimi, Chasing Amy, and Dazed and Confused, will be appearing and directing Ghost Army.
The Universal Pictures movie, Ghost Army, is based on the book The Ghost Army of World War II. The book was written by Rick Beyer and Elizabeth Sayles.
It is still not clear whether the movie will go into the production as it is still in development. Sources claim that Ben is expected to rework the screenplay. Nic Pizzolatto wrote the latest script with an earlier draft by Henry Gayden.
The movie tells the true story of a squadron of recruits from art school, creative businesses, and advertisement agencies who were tasked with fooling the Nazis.
The book reflects a group of young GIs including painter Ellsworth Kelly, fashion designer Bill Bla s s, photographer Art Kane, artist Arthur Singer, and many others who conduct a secret mission.
Their profession was to make a traveling road show of deception, armed with inflatable tanks, and sound-effects records.
Ben is even connected to produce, alongside Andrew Lazar.
As Ben is busy shooting Warner Bros’ basketball drama Torrance and Netflix’s The Last Thing He Wanted, which delayed his commitment.
