Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have formally registered for their divorce on April 13, 2017. The longtime duo officially decided to end their marriage two years of their separation. They announced their partition in June 2015.

Under the divorce application filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Jen and Ben mentioned irreconcilable differences as the reason for their divorce. The couple has three children; all under 11, together and is looking for cooperative judicial protection.
They filed the divorce petition in mutual understanding and have not mentioned the date of their separation.
The couple ended their a decade-long married life just a day after their 10th anniversary on June 30, 2015. They released a joint report and revealed:
After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce.
The report further read:
We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time.
They were married in 2005. Although the couple has chosen the different path and is separated, they were spotted together spending time with their kids.
Soon after splitting with Jen, Ben was rumored to have affair with family's nanny. However, he denied the allegations and revealed that it was false. Several photographs of Ben with the nanny, Christine Ouzounian were leaked in July 2015.
The financial settlement is still under negotiation and it is believed that the divorce could final within 6 months.
