Alon Abutbul
Alon Abutbul is an Israeli actor and producer who is active in the entertainment industry for more than thirty years, as of 2018. He began the acting journey appearing in small roles in his home country, Israel and got his big break when he was cast in the lead role in the movie Shtei Etzbaot Mi'Tzidon. He is, particularly, famous for his roles in Body of Lies (2008), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), London Has Fallen (2016). In 2005, Abutbut was voted the 158th-greatest Israeli of all time.

Alon Abutbul was born Alon Moni Abutbul on 28 May 1965 in Kiryat Ata, Israel. He is a Gemini which defines his personality to be expressive, communicative, thoughtful and restless.
He had one older brother who died of cancer in 2012. He was an actor and singer.
He graduated from the Thelma Yellin High School of Arts in Givatayim.

Movies
After graduating, Abutbul started his acting journey appearing in short films including Hapnimiyah in his own hometown. He then appeared in the movie 51 Bar alongside Mosko Alkalai and Smadar Kilchinsky and in 1986 he was cast in the movie Shtei Etzbaot Mi'Tzidon which took place in the 1982 Lebanon War. The film turned out to be the big break for him. Both fans and critics loved his performance and he was honored with the Best Actor Award at the Jerusalem film festival.
Abutbul performance in the Israeli film Ehad Mishelanu (1989) alongside Dan Toren and Sharon Alexander also gave him the Best Actor Award. Continuing his successful journey, in 1995, he produced and acted Gur Bentwich's movie Ha-Kochav Hakachol.
In the same year, he appeared in the Israeli movie Leylasede where he shared a screen with Gila Almagor and Anat Waxman and also starred in another Israeli movie Ha-Khetzi HaSheni in opposite of Orna Banai.
In the year 2000, he won the Film actor of the decade award at the Haifa International Flim Festival. His other popular movies include The Order, Mars Turkey, Nina's Tragedies, Dance, Munich, Beaufort, The Dark Knight Rises, London Has Fallen. He has also appeared in the American film which includes Munich, Body of Lies alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe.

Abutbul's made his television debut in 1997 where he shared a screen with Israeli actress Tinker Bell and Sivan Shavit in the Israeli drama named A Speck on the Eyelash. Then in 1999, he played in the award-winning Israeli TV film Shabatot VeHagim alongside Merav Gruber and Lior Ashke - .
His other credits in the television world include Egoz, Melanoma My Love, Dancing with the Stars, Lost and Found. Similarly, he also appeared as a guest in the American television series named Burn Notice, Homeland and Low Winter Sun.
