Alicia Vitarelli is an American Journalist who hosts 6 ABC Action News. Alicia has been the Grand Marshal of the Italian American Woman of the Year for the Center for Italian and Italian-American culture. She also works along with NJ 101.5 radio host Dennis Malloy for a weekend cooking show called A Roma Aroma.

Early life And Education

Alicia Vitarelli was born on 1978, 1 January in New York. She belongs to white ethnicity and holds an American nationality.

Vitarelli is the daughter of Elizabeth Ann Vitarelli of Palm Beach, Fla., and Albert J. Vitarelli of Manhattan. Her father retired as the president of Manhattan Ford/Lincoln-Mercury/Jaguar where her mother is a director of nursing at Abbey Delray, a health care center in Delray Beach, Fla. She is the stepdaughter of Sharon Vitarelli.

Vitarelli joined Villanova University where she received Bachelor's Degrees in Communications and Honors, with a minor in Spanish.

Later, Vitarelli attended the at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism where she earned a Master's Degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Career

Alicia Vitarelli is an Emmy nominated anchor/reporter for 6abc (WPVI) Action News in Philadelphia. She started working for the team in October of 2010. 

Vitarelli is currently a co-presenter on Action News at 4, and her 6abc highlights include reporting the Royal Wedding in London, the beatification of Pope John Paul II in Rome and meeting infinite personalities, including a star-studded lineup on Dancing with Stars! She got a group hug with winners Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough. She also presents a weekly family food section for Action News at 4.

Before landing Philadelphia, Alicia was the morning and afternoon newscaster for News 12 New Jersey for two and a half years. She was also the host of "Buck Wild," a daily bargain-hunting portion, and "Best Kept Secrets of New Jersey," which revealed hidden gems and hot localities across the great Garden State. Prior to that, Alicia worked for NY1 News in Manhattan for six years as an anchor and reporter.

Alicia also occasionally filled in on the radio as a co-host of the Dennis and Michele Show on New Jersey 101.5 with Dennis Malloy. The two also team up on News 12 New Jersey for a half-hour cooking show called "A Roma Aroma." 

Personal life: Wedding And Husband

Alicia Vitarelli married Matthew Pantaleno on April 20, 2007. They organized their wedding ceremony at Our Lady of Angels Church in Brooklyn. Her husband is a Chief Photographer at WNBC and also a former Photo Journalist at Time Warner as well as Former Chief Photographer at News 12 New Jersey.  

On Monday, August 19, 2013, she and her husband announced on air that they are expecting their first child and Vitarelli gave birth to her child on 2014, January.  

Vitarelli currently lives in Center City with her family. She is also active on social media like Facebook and Instagram. She often shares beautiful photos of her family on her social media.
