Yamaguchi’s Misunderstood Good Luck Tweet To Team Mate Nancy Kerrigan

The 1992 bronze medalist figure skater, Nancy Kerrigan recently will be seen in an American dance competition series entitled dancing with the stars.

Here the celebrities are paired with professional dancers. Each pair dances with a different form of dancing and competes with others for judges points.

The attraction in the news is Kristi Yamaguchi who is a two times world champion in the same sport sent a good luck tweet to her teammate Nancy Kerrigan. Yamaguchi tweeted “can’t wait to see you grace the ballroom floor,” before adding “break a leg.”

Social media users quickly took notice of the tweet by Yamaguchi about breaking a leg and started trending memes of Kerrigan.

Well, the trend is because late in 1994 winter Olympics, Kerrigan was hit in the leg with a crowbar by a man hired by the skater Tonya Harding’s ex-husband.

Whereas Yamaguchi’s spokesperson said that it was not intended by Kristi. It all went misunderstood.
