Woman Charged With Attempted Murder After She Shot Her Boyfriend In Roseville Parking Lot

Minnesota police took a 40-year-old woman into the custody and charged with second-degree attempted murder after she maliciously shot her boyfriend in the parking lot of a strip mall in Roseville on Sunday night.

Authorities responded to an emergency call in which a woman called herself a shooter reported the shooting at around 10 on Sundy night.

Officers found the victim, 41, lying on the ground near a Honda Civic in front of a strip mall where the victim was bleeding from his head and near his armpit.

The woman, Tametria Shavondra Gillespie confessed she shot the victim and the officers found a handgun on the trunk of the car. The man was immediately transmitted to a nearby hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Doctors reported he was shot thrice in the head. Talking to the police, Gillespie told she shot the man in self-defense. She said that the victim was her boyfriend, who sat in the pa s senger seat when she drove the car. She further said the duo started arguing about going somewhere to eat.

Meanwhile, she said her boyfriend of 10 months hit several times in her head and told her he would kill her.

Police reported the surveillance footage from the scene showed the victim was walking towards the strip mall when Gillespie drove up in front of him, got out of her car and appeared to thrust toward the man three times. The man then can be seen falling down the floor to the pa s senger side of the vehicle.
