Why The Bachelor's Arie Luyendyk Jr. Prefers Krystal Nielson Over Other Twelve Girls

by Riya,

Everybody knows who The Bachelor's Arie Luyendyk Jr. favors on the show -- on his first date with Krystal Nielson, during the show's second week of filming, he flew her from L.A. to his hometown Arizona to meet his family. Usually, meeting the family is a tradition saved for the final two ladies.

At Arie's home, they watched home videos, scanned scrapbooks and chatted with his parents and his brother and sister-in-law as well. It was this meeting that made Luyendyk think Nielson was ''emotionally ahead of the other women'', as per a source. The source also says, ''She knows his family so he thinks she knows him best.”

Naturally, the remaining 12 ladies are concerned, as per a source, ''they think she’s disrespectful toward Arie.'' But, the 36-year-old race driver's doesn't seem to want to see anything besides his connection with the 29-year-old fitness trainer who has called the other women ''juvenile'' and beneath her.

The source goes on to say that her MO is simple, ''it's all about winning. She wants him to chase her and will do anything to get his attention.”

''Will do anything to get his attention'' includes throwing a tantrum. During a group date in an upcoming episode, a show source reveals, ''Krystal gets mad when Arie invites all the women to an afterparty originally meant just for the winners.''

The source adds, ''she calls him a liar, locks herself in her room and refuses to come downstairs.”

The move helps Krystal, noticing her absence, as per the source, “Arie gives in and goes to find her. Krystal wants Arie to seek her out in a crowd — she doesn’t care what the other women think of her.”

The insider goes on to say that the argument only leaves Luyendyk wanting for more.

“He doesn’t want to shy away from talking about their problems as a couple,” says the source, it adds, “They butt heads but they see that as something that brings them closer.”

His parents' approval of Nielson means a lot to 'The Bachelor', the source adds, “She questioned his character but he can’t get past how well she knows him.”

The Bachelor airs on Mondays at 8 p.m.ET. on ABC.
