After his graduation in journalism from Temple University, Domingo moved to San Francisco, California and started his acting career in theaters.He made his debut in the movie Timepiece in 1995. The actor then appeared in rock musical Pa s sing Strange as the Mr. Franklin Jones, Joop, and Mr. Venus which was critically acclaimed by the critics. He also received awards for his performance in the movie.
The actor was featured in a one-man autobiographical play A boy and his soul which was premiered at the Vineyard Theater. For his performance in the play, he was honored with GLAAD Award: Outstanding New York Theater: Broadway &Off-Broadway and also a Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Solo Show.
