British actor and former professional football player Vinnie Jones’ wife Tanya Jones died on 6th July, Saturday in Los Angeles home at the age of 53. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
Jones’ management released a statement confirming that Tanya died at 8:46 am local time. The statement also released that she pa s sed away after a long illness. They reported:
Tanya pa s sed peacefully at the Jones family home surrounded by Vinnie, their daughter and other family members.
Vinnie and the family are now asking for privacy while they are going through a period of mourning during the tragic time.
A close source reported that her condition got much worse over the last few weeks.
Back in 2013, Vinnie revealed that he and his wife were suffering from melanoma, which is the most serious type of skin cancer.
Likewise, Tanya was 21 years old when she had undergone an emergency heart transplant. She was also treated for cervical cancer twice.
Vinnie discovered a lump under his eye and went for a regular check-up where he found out that he had malignant melanoma. His wife also developed the same illness, and the pair together fought it.
The close source reported that Vinnie had been in the UK and flew back immediately when he heard her condition got worse.
