A Driver Rescued in Just Before Truck Explosion in New Jersey

Real-Life superhero stuff! Two State Troopers rescued a driver just seconds before his truck exploded in New Jersey on Monday, March 2.

According to State Police, trooper Robert Tarleton had already rescued a person on Interstate 287 in Bridgewater Township, when the vehicle ran off the road and struck a guardrail before it burst into flames.

State Police Lieutenant Edward Ryer had also jumped out of his car to rescue the driver.

After rescuing the driver, Tarleton gave his driver's license, so he could get a s sistance from fire and emergency medical services.

The whole incident was captured on a body camera.

Tarleton and Ryer pull the man together from the vehicle and dragged him to safety just before the truck exploded.

The driver, who sustained minor injuries, was rushed to a nearby hospital, Morristown Medical Center, for examination. The cause of the explosion has currently been investigated.
