Kevin Ha s sett, the chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers is leaving the Trump Administration shortly. President Donald Trump announced Ha s sett's departure on Sunday in a tweet.
Kevin Ha s sett, who has done such a great job for me and the Administration, will be leaving shortly. His very talented replacement will be named as soon as I get back to the U.S. I want to thank Kevin for all he has done - he is a true friend!

Trump thanked Ha s sett for his job and called him a "true friend" in his tweet. Trump, however, didn't announce who will be replacing Ha s sett in the White House.
Earlier this year, president Trump made headlines after he posted a false statistic on Twitter comparing U.S. gross domestic product to unemployment. Later, Ha s sett told the media he wasn't aware of how the error was made and also said he was not the "chairman" of the Council of Twitter Advisers.
Before Trump nominated Ha s sett to the White House role in 2017, Ha s sett served as a scholar of fiscal policy at the conservative American Enterprise Institute Think Tank.
