Tracy Anderson's Ex-Husband Eric Anderson Dies At 48

Former basketball star and ex-husband of fitness entrepreneur Tracy Anderson dies at 48. Former Indiana University basketball star died on Sunday, December 9.

People reported that the preliminary autopsy reports suggest that Eric pa s sed away due to the natural causes. The tabloid reported, Hamilton County Coroner John Chalfin told The Indianapolis Star,

It's cardiac-related, but natural causes until doc can confirm that in a report to me.

Meanwhile, Tracy released a statement through her representative after the death of Eric was announced where she said,

We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Eric Anderson. Eric was a true friend to Tracy, a loving and incredibly dedicated father to their son Sam, and always willing to lend a helping hand to many of us at Tracy Anderson throughout the years.

The statement further continued,

Our hearts are grieving with Tracy and her family during this difficult time.

The former NBA star got married to the 43-year-old fitness entrepreneur and an author in 1998 after a few years of relationship. They divorced in 2008 after a decade-long marriage; they gave birth to a son Sam, 20, while they were married.

Eric sister called the Carmel Police Department, Indiana after her brother didn't call her for a few days. Caramel Lt. Joe Bickel told the Indy Star that:

His sister hadn’t heard from him in a couple days, which she thought was odd because he was fighting some type of illness.

Officers responded to the emergency call immediately and went to Anderson's apartment where they found him dead. Anderson is survived by his sister, ex-wife and a son Sam.
