Tommy Bastow

British born actor Tommy Bastow is best known for playing the role of Dave the Laugh in 2008 British coming of age-comedy film, Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging and Joe in the British Telecom (BT) adverts. He is also known as the lead singer in the band FranKo.As of 2018, he appeared in the ABC science fiction thriller series, The Crossing. 

Early Life And Education Of Tommy Bastow

Tommy Bastow was born Thomas Derek Bastow on August 26, 1991, in Epsom, Surrey, England. He has a brother, Jodie Bastow.

He attended the independent City of London Freemen's School. Later, he transferred to a state school, BRIT School in Croydon which specializes in the performing arts. He graduated from  Drama Centre London with a degree in Acting.

Tommy Bastow's Career

Tommy Bastow from his early days wanted to be an actor. His acting career started at the age of 13. In 2005, he signed a contract with BT and appeared in a number of BT advertisement. He featured in two episodes of the CBBC program M.I.High as Lewis Chuckworth in 2008 and also starred in a short film, Londongrad. 

Bastow's major breakthrough came in 2008  when he landed a role of Dave the Laugh in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging. He starred in an episode of the BBC One mini-series Robin Hood and had a cameo in The Boys Are Back. In 2010, he appeared in a Spanish-American horror film, Exorcismus. In 2012, Bastow portrayed the character Harold Chasen in the theater show, Harold and Maude. 

Apart from acting, Bostow has successfully established himself as a singer. He started his musical journey in 2005 as the lead singer of  Blackspray. Later, he formed another band, Franko along with members of a band called Hawkwood. The band played their first gig in the UK in 2007 and recorded their debut EP with producer Jim Lowe. 

The following year, the band toured Thailand and also shared the stage with  Elliot Minor and Me Vs Hero. In 2010, Franko released  10 track debut album, Vote Franko. After a year they launched their second album, Franko.
