This Is Why This Is Us Star Scared To Announce Her Pregnancy

This Is Us actress Alexandra Breckenridge was one of those celebrities who couldn't readily share her pregnancy, and she has recently revealed the reason for her hesitation.

The 35-year-old actress told US Weekly on Saturday that she was gonna be fired if she told about her pregnancy. She said, "I was like, I'm gonna get fired." She continued, "I was scared o tell them because I thought it would cause issues for production."

 

Breckenridge found her fears were unnecessary after she shared her pregnancy to the This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman. She recalls her moments as: 

He was just like, 'Oh, that's amazing!' Congratulations!' He's so nice

The actress announced her pregnancy via Instagram in August when she used a full snap of her showing her growing baby bump with a caption, "We made another one!! Baby Breckenridge Hooper coming this winter."

Breckenridge and husband Casey Hooper are parents of a son Jack, 15 months and they're due to welcome their second child- a baby girl- in December. Breckenridge told,

 I was praying for a daughter, not because I don't love boy.

She also told, she learned she was having a baby girl on the day she turned 35 in May when she said to her doctor, "This is the best birthday present ever! I really wanted to have a girl."
